Existing Drone Technology
- Manual operation – constantly managing the aircraft
- Manually pilot the drone and physically interact with the drone and controller for take-off, flight and landing.
- Maintain clear visual contact and keep the drone flying safely during each flight.
- Make decisions about suitable weather conditions for flying the drone.
- Establish a flight path plan each time you fly.
- Maintain relevant documentation such as flight logs and maintenance records.
- Physically manage battery charging for each flight daily.
- Manually extract the data captured by the drone and load it onto a computer for analysis.
- Manage the drone’s servicing and maintenance to keep it in good flying condition and/or replace it if they damage or destroy it.
- Need to learn how to do all of the above.
Automated Drone Technology
- Fully automated – never need to touch it or fly it.
- Choice from a menu list on a tablet or phone what pre-programmed task is to be carried out…and then press ‘go’.
- Will return to its micro-hangar if any operating anomaly is detected – and we’ll be notified of that incident.
- A small weather station on its micro-hangar decides if it is safe for the drone to fly.
- Documentation and regulation compliance is taken care of by us.
- Automated battery charging.
- An onboard web server connected to the internet, processing data while the drone is flying.
- We monitor the drone’s health and critical systems and keep it operational. If it gets damaged, we repair or replace it.
- Select the information the drone is to capture – we manage the rest!
